The Department of Telugu was started along with the establishment of the college in the year 1948. Since its inception the Department has been playing an important role, assisting the college administration in organizing almost every important event. Six  Lecturers are working in the department.





    Catering to the needs of the region for which we are created by our rural-based University

    Revising our curricula, initiating necessary changes in teaching and learning processes, materials and evaluation practices at regular intervals, to be in tune with the current trends.

    Adding regularly the most current and upcoming areas of knowledge to our curricular framework in order to strengthen teaching in English Studies.

    Exploring possibilities for establishing linkages with other institutions of importance by introducing JKC to promote Communication Skills to the students of rural areas.

    Fostering association with alumni and interaction with the industry and service sectors from time to time to update ourselves about the changing needs for mutual benefit.



Our Aim


Our aim is to remain steadfast in our commitment:

    To make our modest contribution to the society by designing and implementing Communication Skills in English.

    To conduct a National Seminar and Workshop.

    To undertake a Major Research Project on “Steps to Improve Communication Skills among Rural Students”.


English Cell


An English Language Teaching Cell has been established by initiating Jawahar Knowledge Centre as per the instructions of the Commissionarate of Collegiate Education to bring awareness among students to thrive for learning English language to encounter interviews and to face day to day challenges in acquiring jobs.


Language Laboratory


Language Laboratory Thanks for the Commissionarate of Collegiate Education for providing Computers to the Language Laboratory. We use the Language Lab frequently to train the students to listen to English conversations to improve communication skills and Spoken English, accent and intonation besides preparing them for On-line English Practicals being conducted by the university.
