Outcome / Summary
The Department of Physics & Electronics organized National Science Day 2026 on 28 February 2026 under the DBT STAR College Scheme. The program was conducted to promote scientific awareness and highlight the importance of basic sciences in research and national development.
The chief speaker for the event was Prof. R. Ramakrishna Reddy, Retired Registrar, Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU), Ananthapuramu, who delivered an enlightening guest lecture on “Basic Sciences for Development and Scientific Research.” In his address, he emphasized the crucial role of basic sciences in technological advancement, innovation, and sustainable development. He also encouraged students to develop scientific temper and actively participate in research activities.
The program was graced by the Principal and the DBT STAR College Coordinator as chief guests. Around 200 students and science faculty members attended the event and actively participated in the lecture and discussions.
