Auditorium

The college has a state-of-the-art auditorium that is the nerve centre of cultural activities. It is equipped with a spacious stage, two green rooms, comfortable seating, carpeting, wash-rooms, and a podium. The advanced sound and lighting systems uplift the ambience. All key intra and inter-college events take place here.

RO Water Treatment Plant

A 5000 litre/day RO water treatment system is installed in the campus. The plant provides safe drinking water at every tap on the campus. A high level of maintenance attention and regular testing ensure the quality of water supplied to students, faculty, and staff throughout the day.

Maintenance of Infrastructure

Government College for Men (A), Kadapa has well-established systems and procedures for maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities. There are Library Policy, IT Policy, Sports Policy and standard operating procedures for maintenance of all infrastructural and support facilities.

  • Physical verification of infrastructure carried out every March/April; list of missing/obsolete items prepared.
  • Committee also reports on proper utilization of facilities in each department. Appropriate authority takes action on shortages and write-offs.

  • Sergeant: entrusted with overall maintenance of cleanliness, discipline and repairs, with efficient support staff.
  • Outsourced human resources also appointed for maintenance of college facilities.
  • 52 non-teaching staff: Store Keepers, Mechanic, Record Assistants, Electrician, Watchman, Gardener, Sweepers, etc.
  • Every first Saturday: Clean & Green program with NSS, NCC, students and faculty.
  • Budget allocated periodically to ensure proper maintenance of physical facilities.

  • Labs are maintained by dedicated lab assistants.
  • Stocks and records maintained by storekeepers and record assistants under the supervision of department in-charge.

  • Central Library (61,762 volumes) managed by a Librarian assisted by Assistant Librarian, record assistants and office subordinate.
  • Daily dusting of books, regular maintenance of reading room, reference section and equipment.

  • Sports and games equipment, courts and gymnasium maintained by Physical Director with support from assistants and students.

  • AMC for IT & Internet: ₹1,00,000 for Microhard Pvt. Ltd. for maintenance of 150 computers and internet services.
  • COE of the college taking AMC for Manasa Solution, Tenali for ERP maintenance.
  • IT Policy ensures optimal maintenance and utilization of IT infrastructure including purchase, upgradation and disposal of e-waste.

  • College canteen inspected regularly by canteen committee; promotes cleanliness and healthy food.
  • Regular AMC maintenance of RO Water Plants at Auditorium and Arts Block by professional agents.
  • Campus security outsourced to a private agency on long-term basis.
  • 10 CCTV cameras installed in the campus for protection and monitoring, under AMC.
  • All physical infrastructure substantially evaluated, maintained and updated during summer vacation.
