Research Experience: Prof. Dr. B.Sudhakar Reddy is a distinguished scientist in materials science with an h-index of 19. Presently Dr.Reddy is working as Professor of Physics at Government College for Men (Autonomous), Kadapa, India. He has a teaching experience of 29 years 6 Months and 18 years research experience. He has received State Level Best Teacher Award from the Govt. of A.P in the year 2008 and Best Scientist Award and NESA Fellow Award from NESA, New Delhi , Distinguished Professor Award, Award of Excellence in Research from DKIRF, National Faculty Award (Life Time Achievement) from Novel Research Academy for the outstanding contribution in Teaching and Research. The A.P. Academy of Sciences has recognized Dr. Reddy as Associate Fellow during the year 2005. Dr. Reddy is serving as NAAC peer team member. Dr. Reddy published 76 research papers in international journals of high repute and presented more than 95 research papers in international and national conferences. Prof.Reddy has filed and granted 2 UK patents. He has successfully guided 9 students for Ph.D. degree. He has successfully completed 05 research projects of total amount Rs. 63, 14,525/- of CSIR , UGC and 1 Major Research Project worth of Rs.1000000/- funded RUSA research project is on-going to his credit. He visited different countries viz., South Korea, Sweden, Finland and South Africa for research and education purpose and as a visiting scientist. He is Fellow of Royal society of Chemistry, UK, Life member of Indian Physics Teachers Association, Luminescence Society of India, Indian Physics Association, NESA, Indian Laser Association and Indian National Science Academy. His academic achievement includes best research paper award for 3 research papers in conferences and He is serving as referee for 25 Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, RSC international journals. Presently Prof. Reddy is doing the research in the preparation characterization of rare earth ions activated glasses, ceramics and phosphors for luminescent novel materials, laser sources and optical fiber applications and White LEDs using PL, TL and ML techniques.
