Vice President AwardNational(1998) The Bharath Scouts and guides, New Delhi Sri T. Venkata Ramana, Leader of the Sri Alluri Sitha Rama Raju Open Rover Crew (18 members), Government College for Men, Kadapa (1996–1997), was conferred the prestigious Vice President’s Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to community service. Under his dedicated leadership, the Rover Crew actively organized and participated in a wide range of social welfare and community development programmes across the Kadapa region. These initiatives included flood relief operations, awareness campaigns on medicinal plants, dengue fever and other communicable diseases, Pulse Polio immunization drives, leprosy control programmes and several other public health and social service activities. His committed leadership and sustained involvement in these initiatives exemplified the ideals of service, social responsibility, teamwork and humanitarian commitment promoted by the Rovering movement.
